Under the patronage of the Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) and Chairman of the Board of the Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies (KIBS), Basel A. Al-Haroon, KIBS concluded the Executive Leadership Development Program, which is implemented annually in cooperation with Harvard Business School (HBS). The program is held this year under the title “Strategic Leadership in the Age of Financial Sustainability”, and it is a flagship component of “Kafa’a” Initiative launched by the CBK in cooperation with Kuwaiti banks and managed by KIBS to develop executive leaders and qualify national cadres in the banking and financial sector.
The ceremony took place on Thursday, April 17, 2025, in the presence of esteemed representatives from CBK, Kuwaiti banks, participating companies from Kuwait and other countries, KIBS management, and the program’s participants.
Having congratulated the participants and encouraged them to embrace continuous learning in order to stay ahead in an ever-evolving financial landscape, the CBK stressed on continuing cooperation with local banks and KIBS to support quality education, training and qualification to provide the national economy with competencies and distinguished cadres, in order to contribute to enhancing economic growth, whether through the KIBS’s various programs or through “Kafa’a” Initiative.
The enduring collaboration between KIBS and HBS was also recognized. Over the past sixteen years, this collaboration has produced a diverse portfolio of high-impact programs that helped shape the leadership of executives and mid-level managers across Kuwait and the GCC region, with invaluable support of CBK and local banks.
Program participants expressed their deep appreciation for the transformative experience, noting the significant knowledge, tools, and global perspectives they have gained. They also extended their gratitude to CBK, KIBS, and their employers who are keen to support and invest in the national cadres.
