Prof. Yaqoub Al-Refaei, Director General of the Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies (KIBS), announced the upcoming ” Quality Management for Banking Operations” training program, which will be held from March 19 to 29, 2017, at KIBS’ headquarters. Prof. Tarek Al-Duwaisan will lead the program, training participants on key concepts related to quality development in the banking sector.
Dr. Tarek Al-Duwaisan is a Professor of Industrial Engineering and Administrative Systems at the College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University. He is also the founder and operations manager of Rowad International Consulting and Training, established in 2005. In 2014, he received the Scientific Production Award in Engineering Sciences from the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences. Dr. Al-Duwaisan holds several prestigious professional certifications, including Certified Quality and Institutional Excellence Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt Professional, Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, and Certified Supplier Quality Professional from the American Society for Quality. He is also a Certified Safety Professional and an accredited Environment, Safety, and Health Trainer by the American Board of Certified Safety Professionals. With over 25 years of professional experience, Dr. Al-Duwaisan specializes in consulting and training in quality, safety, and institutional excellence.
During the program, key concepts of quality development will be introduced, starting with the definition and importance of quality, the role of each department in implementing quality standards, and the responsibilities each department must fulfill. The program will also cover methods for improving work quality, the tools necessary to achieve this, the importance of customer satisfaction (both internal and external), and how to manage suppliers effectively.
This program is one of KIBS’ key initiatives to train employees in the banking sector on quality development. Successfully completing the program will qualify participants to obtain a Quality Improvement Specialist certification from the American Society for Quality, in collaboration with Rowad International Consulting and Training.
In addition to this program, KIBS will continue to offer various other training programs related to quality development and management, along with many other essential programs for professionals in the banking and financial sectors.
