All graduates receive internationally accredited professional certificates
Kuwait, April 21, 2025 — The Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies (KIBS) proudly celebrated the graduation of its 2023–2024 cohort in a ceremony held under the patronage of Director General Ms. Rana Abdullah Al Nibari. The event honored graduates who completed KIBS’s internationally accredited professional training programs, reinforcing the Institute’s role as a leading center for professional banking and financial education.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials from local banks, including heads of training and HR departments, training specialists, KIBS faculty, and the distinguished instructors whose expertise shaped the success of the programs.
A highlight of the event was keynote speaker Mr. Faisal Al-Dakhil, legendary Kuwaiti footballer and national icon. Al-Dakhil, who played a vital role in Kuwait’s 1980 Asian Cup victory and proudly represented the country at the 1982 FIFA World Cup, emphasized that national progress depends on the excellence of its people in all sectors—including banking.
In her address, Ms. Al Nibari congratulated the graduates and applauded their commitment to advancing their professional development. She underscored the significance of these certifications as a reflection of KIBS’s dedication to quality education and its mission to empower national banking talent. “This achievement is a milestone in our journey to develop highly qualified Kuwaiti banking professionals—key contributors to the country’s economic resilience,” she stated.
Ms. Al Nibari reaffirmed KIBS’s commitment to offering programs aligned with the evolving needs of the financial sector and accredited by globally recognized institutions. She also acknowledged the essential role of local banks’ training and HR teams, the Board of Directors’ strategic support, and the strength of KIBS’s international partnerships, including the London Institute of Banking and Finance and Moody’s Analytics.
This year, graduates earned ten globally recognized certifications. Nine programs were delivered in partnership with the London Institute of Banking and Finance, including:
The tenth program—Certified Credit Management—was developed and delivered in collaboration with Moody’s Analytics, a renowned U.S.-based financial intelligence provider.
Representing the graduating class, Mr. Husain Jamal Bohamad of Al-Ahli Bank of Kuwait expressed his gratitude to Kuwait’s banking sector for its continued investment in national talent. Gulf Bank graduate Ms. Nour Al-Enezi delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the growing role of women in the industry, noting their rising leadership and impact across all sectors.
In her closing remarks, Ms. Al Nibari encouraged graduates to remain lifelong learners, ready to adapt and thrive in an ever-evolving global economy. She extended her heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for their continued success.
