Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies (KIBS) Hosts Interactive Workshop on Building Resilient Leaders

Kuwait City, February 5, 2025 – The Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies (KIBS) proudly hosted an interactive workshop titled “Invest in Resilient Leaders: From Burnout to Balance,” led by the renowned Dr. Mohammad Alsuwaidan from MindWell, Kuwait’s leading mental health care center. Held at The Four Seasons Hotel, this transformative event brought together participants from member banks and various organizations across Kuwait, reflecting KIBS’ commitment to fostering diverse perspectives and innovation.

Empowering Leaders to Combat Burnout

The KIBS Director General Ms. Rana A. Al Nibari, emphasized the importance of recognizing and addressing burnout in leadership. Ms. Al Nibari highlighted the program’s mission to equip participants with actionable strategies to manage stress, foster resilience, and cultivate well-being within their teams and organizations.

About the Speaker: Dr. Mohammad Alsuwaidan

Dr. Mohammad Alsuwaidan is a distinguished psychiatrist, academic, and mental health advocate with a wealth of global experience. He serves as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and is the CEO and Clinical Director of MindWell. His extensive credentials include:

  • Psychiatry residency and fellowship training at the University of Toronto, with additional specialized training at Stanford and Tufts Universities.
  • A Master of Public Health (MPH) from Johns Hopkins University.
  • Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, as well as the National Board of Public Health Examiners (USA).
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Beyond his clinical and academic pursuits, Dr. Alsuwaidan is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness, engaging global audiences through social media, podcasts, and television appearances.
