As part of the Central Bank of Kuwait’s strategic efforts to build national cadres and competencies capable of contributing to supporting the developmental journey in the State of Kuwait, and within the framework of the “Kafa’a” initiative launched by the Central Bank of Kuwait in cooperation with Kuwaiti banks and managed by Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies (KIBS), the Central Bank of Kuwait is launching, for the sixth consecutive year, the scholarship program to send Kuwaitis abroad to obtain a Master’s degree.
The Central Bank of Kuwait is keen to continue developing the capabilities and energies of the national workforce in the banking sector, given the importance of this sector in driving the national economy. In this context, the “Kafa’a” initiative, which consists of a set of programs prepared based on the needs of the Kuwaiti banking sector, aims to equip it with highly qualified and trained competencies capable of advancing the banking sector.
The Scholarship Program for Kuwaitis Pursuing a Master’s Degree is one of the most prominent programs in this regard, offering scholarships to study at prestigious global universities in the fields of finance, economics, accounting, business administration, Islamic finance, and Islamic financial management. To date, the program has provided scholarships to twenty-one male and female students in these fields.
The program offers several benefits to the scholarship recipients throughout the duration of their studies, which can be summarized as follows:
Applications can be submitted starting from Sunday, December 15, 2019, until Thursday, May 28, 2020. Kuwaiti nationals holding university degrees who wish to benefit from the program can view the conditions, regulations, and application procedures through the website.
