Prof. Dr. Yaqoub Al-Rifai, General Director – Institute of Banking Studies, stated that the institute has been preparing and issuing annual financial reports for more than thirty years that include the financial analysis of the financial statements of the institutions listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange. The institute has developed a new online financial database under the name “Bayanati” that includes a time series of those data arranged according to the sector of companies listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange.
Dr. Al-Rifai added that during the year 2020/2021, the Institute of Banking Studies has developed and updated the electronic financial database service “Bayanati”, through the redesign and development of the “Bayanati” website using modern technology to improve the interface of the site, and redesign the reports available on it with technology Preparing recent reports for all sectors (Kuwaiti banks, listed financial companies, listed non-financial companies and Gulf banks), in addition to listing the names of companies listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange and linking them to the corresponding reports of the concerned companies according to the aforementioned sectors, in order to help customers using the “Bayanati” service. “To access the corresponding reports for each company, which were included in the current website, and their related reports. He also explained that in the new service site, the tables have been updated by adding charts to give an understanding and clarification of the reports and facilitate the comparison process between the performances of the companies. Charts that include bar charts, pie charts, and line graphs have also been added. In addition to the two standards of analytical functions, comparison (Benchmark) and filtering functions, to the new design in the same report pages, which facilitates data extraction and reports for service users.
Dr. Yaqoub Al-Rifai clarified that the institute is confident that the “Bayanati” service is one of the leading sources of financial data on the Internet, and considers the service an indispensable tool for everyone who analyzes the corporate sector in the State of Kuwait.
