The Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies (KIBS) is dedicated to enhancing the banking and financial industry in Kuwait and continuously seeks impactful and relevant opportunities to do so. The event is designed for professionals in the banking and financial industry, as well as those interested in learning more about AI and its impact on the industry. No prior knowledge of AI is required to attend the seminar.
The seminar outline includes an introduction to AI in the context of banking, an overview of key AI technologies and advancements, and a discussion on the advantages and challenges of AI in banking operations. Professor Ikhlaq Sidhu is the Dean of the School of Science and Technology at IE University in Madrid, Spain, and the founding faculty director emeritus of UC Berkeley’s Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology. He is a recognized expert in AI, blockchain, machine learning, and technology innovation & leadership, and has been granted 75 patents in internet communication technologies. He has received numerous awards for his contributions to education and innovation, including the IEEE Major Education Innovation Award and the Extraordinary Teaching in Extraordinary Times Award by UC Berkeley.
