The Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies (KIBS) is constantly seeking the latest ideas that interest different sectors in Kuwait. Because of this reason, it is offering bankers and other organizations the chance to attend an interactive workshop titled Invest in Resilient Leaders: From Burnout to Balance held by Dr. Mohammad Alsuwaidan. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at The Four Seasons from 9 AM until 12 PM.
Ms. Rana A. Al Nibari, Director General of KIBS, shared an overview of the workshop that focuses on enabling participants to detect signs of burnout in themselves and their teams, and equip them with strategies to manage stress and prevent burnout effectively. The workshop also addressed how to strengthen leadership practices to foster a culture of well-being and resilience.
Split into sessions, the workshop will focus on understanding burnout in leadership roles and identifying personal and team burnout signals and managing stress while leading effectively. The workshop also highlights leadership strategies for building resilient teams by mitigating burnout at the organizational level or how to prevent burnout in teams. The interactive experience will showcase how to build personal resilience and techniques on how to protect against and recover from burnout as it trains participants on how to create action plans to foster resilience in their teams and themselves.
Dr. Mohammad Alsuwaidan is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto in Canada and a Consultant Psychiatrist, CEO, and Clinical Director at MindWell, a leading private mental health care center in Kuwait.
He completed his psychiatry residency, mood and anxiety disorders fellowship,
and medical education fellowship at the University of Toronto. He also trained
in mood disorders at Stanford University and Tufts University. He holds a
Master of Public Health (MPH) from John Hopkins University and is a Fellow of
the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, a Diplomate of the
American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and certified in public health by
the National Board of Public Health Examiners in the United States. And beyond his clinical, research, and academic activities, Dr. Alsuwaidan is a dedicated public advocate for mental health and is widely followed by global audiences on social media, podcasts, and television programs.
