The Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies (KIBS) organized a virtual capacity-building session on Monday, 18 May 2026, titled “New Dimension: Climate Change Risks and Integration with Enterprise Risk Management”. The session was delivered in collaboration with GoGreen Kuwait and attended by a group of specialists and professionals from the banking, financial and other sectors in Kuwait to discuss the growing impact of climate and geopolitical risks on organizations and the financial sector.

The session highlighted the rapid transformation of the global economic and financial landscape and the increasing importance of integrating climate-related considerations into enterprise risk management frameworks. Participants discussed how climate change, geopolitical instability, supply chain disruptions and inflationary pressures are reshaping risk management and strategic decision making, while also addressing the financial and operational implications of these risks across Kuwait and the GCC region.

The session was delivered by the President of ESG & Decarbonization Services at Earthood, and focused on practical, decision-oriented approaches to climate risk and ESG integration.
