In the presence of the US Ambassador, H E Lawrence Silverman and the Director General of the Institute of Banking Studies (KIBS), Prof Yaqoub Alrefaei, the KIBS today hosted a Seminar on Cyberthreats and Challenges for the Financial Sector organized by the US Embassy Kuwait.
It was conducted by 4 experts from US Department of Treasury in Washington and addressed Managing Risk for Financial Sector Cybersecurity, Enhancing Financial Sector Cybersecurity through Information Sharing, State Actor Cyber Activity and Thefts Affecting Financial Institutions and Best Practices for Cybersecurity in the Financial Sector
Also present was the Canadian Charge d’Affaires, John Rodney.
Attendees included senior personnel from the IT, Risk Management and Operations Departments of banks, financial institutions, government bodies and businesses in Kuwait.
