Linguistic programs

The IBS designs and offers two main types of English Language Learning programs:

  • Multi-Level Programs that develop core language skills common to a wide range of job areas in the context of business and banking. These programs address the needs of language learners, from beginners to advanced, developing listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. In this category, the IBS will now offer an introduction to Business English and a two-level Business English program in collaboration with Cambridge English Language Assessment, part of Cambridge University, UK. The Cambridge English program will prepare trainees for the BEC Preliminary and BEC Vantage examinations. The Institute will also offer a two-level General English program that will prepare participants for the Cambridge KET and PET examinations. Trainees who successfully complete these courses will be issued a certificate from the University of Cambridge.

  • Specialist Programs that address a variety of language learning needs. These are short duration courses that develop a wide variety of specific language skills.

English language tests

They aim at introducing various placement and aptitude tests either to place participants in the various programs offered by the Training Department or to help organizations with their recruitment and placement requirements. The IBS is an English language test qualification center accredited by the University of Cambridge. It is also an authorized agent for holding English language tests of the University of Cambridge.
